Rishi and Sunmeet have a touching heart story, just like those love story in the Bollywood movies. It all started ten years ago when they were neighbours back in their hometown in India. Sunmeet is like the girl next door that you’d always see in the movies. She is super sweet, pretty and at times a little shy… One could imagine how Rishi’s heart melted when he met her ten years ago. Well, their love relationship did not come easy, and they have been through a few years of long distance relationship when Sunmeet was in Canada for her studies, all-in-all, everyone who knows them and their love journey is happy for them, for they are officially married. Up until today, even after ten years of relationship, we could still see that Rishi and Sunmeet are so in love with each other, and always soak in the heart of one another.

It is one magical day for Sheryl and Sandeep on their engagement night. Their sikh engagement took place at a very unique location, in fact Sheryl shared that they are the first to hold a private function there at the Bunga Raya Garden, near Lake Garden. She has spent many hours and days planning the entire function; getting the right suppliers in order to get the right set-ups and decors done. It is no simple task. With god’s blessing, the night went well and everyone praised for a good night of fun celebration! Cheers!
Dhssraj and Risha — a simple couple with a simple love story. Dhssraj and Risha are both pretty simple, nice and humble person.. I remembered the first time we met Risha for discussion, she is just like the girl-next-door who is so nice to talk to, and you would just want to hang around with her. No surprise Dhssraj is so in love with her, despite her being the girl in braces during her teenage years. Finally the long wait is over, they had finally tied the knot over a week long celebration! It was fun, fun, fun and more funnn… Presenting to you their Sikh wedding highlight..
“Mum, can Shai stay with us after they got married?” asked Jesrina’s brother.
Well, you would think it is rather weird of a bride’s brother to make such request, but in fact, it is not. Reason being, Shai and Jesrina’s engagement is not merely just the loving couple getting engaged, it is also the celebration of both long-time family friends getting engaged as in-laws! And it is amazed to see both Jes and Shai’s family are so closely knitted; let alone the fact that both parents are long-time friends, both Shai and Jesrina’s siblings are like good-friends since young! It was a real fun-tastic engagement weekend shoot for the entire Doodle’s team!!
Well, to start off, Jesrina and Shai is one of the best-match and gorgeous couples that we have met. Jesrina – being the shy, polite, humble, sweet, soft-spoken and gorgeous, just like the girl-next-door, is no doubt the best match for Shai, who happens to be the all-rounder guy that a girl could ever asked for! He has such gentle, humble and kind heart; plus he is gifted with much youthful charm and a great sense of humor. They are more like the opposite attracts. Shai has always been romantic and thoughtful; he stayed up late to personally hand-wrapped all the hantaran for Jes and even personally went to Bombay Palace earlier to place and lit up all the candles surrounding the premise. I was in shock when he told about his personal touch and involvements for this engagement; to have the big lawyer and an all-time funny guy (who always crack jokes and seen following the cameras in the video ) to do all that he has done, only mean one thing, and that he is so much crazily in love with Jes, his destined lifetime lover and partner.
Their weekend celebration was filled with fun, laughter and dance-dance-dance! Yeap, what other way to end the celebration than to dance whole night long? And boy, being the quiet and sweet girl, Jes has surprised us with her gentle-n-simple dance moves. Despite her simple moves, she was still the limelight of the night; certainly a bewitching girl in Shai’s heart, to the extent that he would do anything for her. Ok. Ravinder and Navinder is such a romantically in-love couple, the fated thing is that they share almost the same first name, with only an alphabet difference! Both handsome gentleman and pretty lass tied the knot over the weekend, and it was one contentful weekend filled with fun, joy and laughters…everyone who was present could not help but to enjoy themselves to the fullest, booze to the fullest and alas ‘bhangra’ to the fullest!!
Despite it was our second sikh wedding yet the first in malaysia. And it was one great experience for both photo (by aaron chin photography) and video team (lester, jared and me), and it was kinda special as it was also our first wedding with flycam (thanks to sean seah for offering to self-deliver the flycam all the way from singapore to kl).
Ps: Thanks ravin and navin for being so accommodative during the shoots, and thanks for having us there to be part of your day. Was wonderful working with you and aaron’s team. This is our first Punjabi wedding assignment and yet it is also a destination wedding in Bangkok last week on 15th – 18th April. The interesting part is that both Tarun and Anoushka has some 100 friends and family flew over from London, States, Canada, Australia and India to celebrate their four-day wedding events in Bangkok; and to top it up, it was the same week as Thailand’s Songkran celebration (also known as Thai’s New Year)… and the fun was all-over the city!!
It was a contentful wedding with our wonderful couple. Tarun is one interesting groom with a good sense of humor, he could rock the floor each time he cracks a joke, and leave everyone laughing away helplessly! No wonder Anoushka could not stop smiling and laughing when he’s around. Anoushka is a cute and pretty bride, with an infectious and adorable smile that melt people hearts. No doubts they are a beautiful and loving sikh couple, it had people add a smile watching their wedding highlights video. The funny part was when tarun and his bestmen were negotiating with anoushka’s bride-maids for the releasing fee in order for him to bring his wife back home… lol. The girls had no idea that Tarun has had his shoes hidden in one of his aunt’s handbag all along!! Tarun, you nailed it man…
It was really interesting filming their wedding and we did had lots of fun. Thanks tarun and anoushka for having us there in bangkok for their wedding and it was really a new and amazing experience for us as it’s our first sikh assignment.
