It was just last month we were in Beijing to film their love story, and spent an amazing week long with our cute and lovely couple, Daniel and Kammy; and they had their wedding ceremony back in their hometown Bintulu over the last weekend. Daniel and Kammy has known each other since primary school years, they both live in the same neighborhood in Bintulu, never bumped into each other after primary years despite staying so near, and only to find each other again in friendster when they are both in different part of the world. Little did they know that their friendship would spark into another stage via online texting from west and east part of the world.

Their wedding in bintulu was warm and entertaining, as half of the bintulu people were invited to their wedding celebration, and to top it up, bintulu people are genuinely nice. It was yet another heartfelt entertained wedding, with William Lee being the emcee for the whole day has got the ground laughing away! Of course, the focus was not on William, in fact it was the newly-wed who was the center of attention. Daniel who is soft spoken, humble and a “yes” man; is the opposite of Kammy who is determined, hyper and an iron girl. Both of them make a lovely couple, as you could see them teasing each other this minute, but turns to be a loving couple the next minute. It is this magical chemistry that keeps their sparks and make them an unique couple!

Ravinder and Navinder is such a romantically in-love couple, the fated thing is that they share almost the same first name, with only an alphabet difference! Both handsome gentleman and pretty lass tied the knot over the weekend, and it was one contentful weekend filled with fun, joy and laughters…everyone who was present could not help but to enjoy themselves to the fullest, booze to the fullest and alas ‘bhangra’ to the fullest!!

Despite it was our second sikh wedding yet the first in malaysia. And it was one great experience for both photo (by aaron chin photography) and video team (lester, jared and me), and it was kinda special as it was also our first wedding with flycam (thanks to sean seah for offering to self-deliver the flycam all the way from singapore to kl).

Ps: Thanks ravin and navin for being so accommodative during the shoots, and thanks for having us there to be part of your day. Was wonderful working with you and aaron’s team. This is our first Punjabi wedding assignment and yet it is also a destination wedding in Bangkok last week on 15th – 18th April. The interesting part is that both Tarun and Anoushka has some 100 friends and family flew over from London, States, Canada, Australia and India to celebrate their four-day wedding events in Bangkok; and to top it up, it was the same week as Thailand’s Songkran celebration (also known as Thai’s New Year)… and the fun was all-over the city!!

It was a contentful wedding with our wonderful couple. Tarun is one interesting groom with a good sense of humor, he could rock the floor each time he cracks a joke, and leave everyone laughing away helplessly!  No wonder Anoushka could not stop smiling and laughing when he’s around. Anoushka is a cute and pretty bride, with an infectious and adorable smile that melt people hearts. No doubts they are a beautiful and loving sikh couple, it had people add a smile watching their wedding highlights video. The funny part was when tarun and his bestmen were negotiating with anoushka’s bride-maids for the releasing fee in order for him to bring his wife back home… lol. The girls had no idea that Tarun has had his shoes hidden in one of his aunt’s handbag all along!! Tarun, you nailed it man…

It was really interesting filming their wedding and we did had lots of fun. Thanks tarun and anoushka for having us there in bangkok for their wedding and it was really a new and amazing experience for us as it’s our first sikh assignment.

We have had the wittiest groom in the last post, now we have our next funny yet shy groom, Kristofer. Kris is a phillipino who grew up in malaysia. And melinda is like a career woman who is capable of handling all the wedding planning for their wedding. This couple has nothing less than any ordinary couple, just that they have an extra bit of cuteness in them that would steal the limelight of others. When we were with them, they had this fantastic ’special’ bond and we could just sit and watch them have their conversations. lol. If one’d been with them, you’d know how cute they’d get! =D

During the prep in shangri-la’s hotel, kristofer was shy to let us shoot him when he has no t-shirt on! Yup, he is this shy… and we think he definitely is a keeper. He showed us all the Gucci presents that melinda had gifted him through out their dating years, and said that he’d been keeping them for their ‘big day’ coz very ’sayang’ to use it. How thoughtful of him. Since he is a phillipino, him and his bestmen had put on their tradition clothes, which is called the ‘barong’ instead of tux!! On top of that, kris and mel had both prepared a present for each other, as according to kris, it is the phillipine-chinese tradition. Guess what, they both got each other a Bvlgari watch!

Melinda is every guy’s girl and she is definitely kris’ dream girl. Well, kris fell in love with melinda at first sight and waited till the day she gave him her phone number. She is down-to-earth despite her status, humble and nice girl who is just the prefect one for kris.

It was just about 3 weeks back that we were in mumbai to cover melanie and creswell’s wedding. And now as i am typing this post, all the mumbai experiences that we had with the newly-wed, their bridal family and friends flashed pass my mind. It was quite an unforgettable wedding.

I could still recall creswell’s answer to our question when we asked was there any specific reason that they want their wedding to be in St Francis Xavier Church at Vile Parle, he said it is because this is the same church where melanie’s grandparents and parents got married in and it is in the same town where she spent most of her early childhood years at. And we were not even surprised to learn that they had friends, family and relatives who flew all the way from dubai, chennai and goa to attend their big day in mumbai!

On the bollywood night, it was a real nice experience when we get to see most of melanie’s close friends prepared a good number of performances on stage to entertain the couple and guests. But the fun did not stop there, the fun was followed by the roce ceremony. To see how crazy was the fun, watch their video here.

And on the wedding reception at Hyatt Regency Hotel, the fun and joy was tripled of what we had on the first two days. Boy it was all about dancing and booze-ing, so much so that the dance floor was filled with people all the time. The Dj kept playing retro songs throughout the night as mel and creswell love retros. Hence, we chose a retro song for their wedding highlight video. Hey heys, retro songs rock! Reason being? The retros got the guests’ feet on the dance floor and what do you know, they are all fantastic rhythmic dancers, it felt almost like a high school prom night where their moves were in sync with the music!! The sight filled us with awe. We could just watch them dance whole night long.

They both have such kind and charitable hearts that they had an auction on the top layer of their wedding cake where the proceeds would be donated to the Mother Teresa’s Shishu Bhavan fund. Guess what? The highest bidder was Joanne from dubai and her bid was INR 50,000!! That is close to RM6,600. And the rest of the guests had also donated generously, and the total donation collected on that night was INR 1,17,450! It is the newest idea to have a charity auction on wedding cake on a wedding reception, and yet still be able to help the needy.

It is our great honor to be there to film their pre-weddings and wedding cerebrations, and we certainly gotta thank Rochelle (mel’s sister who has done so much for their wedding preparations and to have arranged everything for us), mel + creswell, the bridal party (chris’s brother jon, anthony, dominic, steve, rochelle, jennifer, rutania and michelle), the ‘little princess’ sadaf (who is so adorable!!), julie (the american photographer from dubai), ryan (the audio manager), joe (the emcee), the harding family, the rebello family, and all the friends and relatives of mel and creswell who have been so so so accommodating, welcoming, friendly, supportive, helpful and nice through out the 3-day wedding filming plus our entire stay in mumbai. It has been an incredible experience and we enjoyed every little bit of our stay there! And it is the most enjoyable wedding that we have covered thus far.

As you would have probably read the earlier post of our dubai couple in mumbai, here are some of the behind the scenes and stills excerpt from the video.

This is sadaf, the adorable little princess!! We’re told that she’ll do anything for you as long as you call her ‘princess’. So, i had to call her princess in order to have this picture with her.

Our Dubai couple, melanie + creswell (better known as chris) met in college during their uni years in dubai about 9 years back. It was since then their love blossomed like flower. And after 9 long years of relationship, they had decided to have their wedding day exactly on the same date that they started dating which was on 17th Oct 2000, and hence their wedding day 17th Oct 2009!

They both had a mutual agreement to have their church wedding celebration in mumbai, with a bollywood wedding night and roce wedding ceremony prior to their wedding day. And they flew in their friends, family and relatives from Dubai, Chennai, Goa and etc to attend their big days in mumbai!

Mel + Creswell had their Bollywood Night on 15th Oct 09. It is one of the pre-wedding ceremonies that are practiced by the northern indians, and it was also their day-one of pre-wedding party! The entire theme is bollywood night party and everyone was dressed in bollywood attire. Boy, not only was it meant dancing night for them, it was also meant liquor night for all! They had all the liquors and beers ready at the cocktail counter where liquor is free flow… And mel’s bridemaids and friends had prepared many dance performances on stage for their entertainment and we could tell they really choreographed for this night. Until the end of the night, the guests had even pulled us in to join their floor dance!

On the day prior to their wedding day, they had the ROCE ceremony, it was where mel got the blessing from her relatives and friends. This is somewhat different from the southern indians as they (the northern indians) give their blessings to mel by pouring (plus showering) her with coconut milk and eggs! She was not alone, as her bridemaids were there to back her up as well! The fun then get dirtier when it was her friends turn to give their blessings. Mel and the bridemaids were showered with 2 packets full of coconut milk by their close friends!! Pity her and the bridemaids…

A Happy Diwali to all Indians out there!

Yeah, some of you might be wondering where have we been as we have been out of touch for quite some time due to the inconvenience of getting a wireless internet access here in Mumbai. We are all good and having loads of fun here in the ‘Incredible India’! (well, this is actually the tag line for india tourism ‘09!) And we are staying in the same suburb as Shah Rukh Khan, which is the Bandra town! Want to know more? Well, here are what i have summarized out of our past 6 days mumbai journey…

What can we say… it is simply ‘incredible’ of our couple Creswell + Melanie to bring us around the suburb and bandra town during our stay here in mumbai. On day one, we had arranged an outdoor pre-wedding shoot with them within mumbai city and bandra town. Both Creswell + Mel were so spontaneous and sporting with the pre-wed, so much so that they are so natural and loving in front of the cameras. We had several awesome shots by the sea shore along bandra town despite the sunny day. It was really hot and humid, but both mel + creswell did not complaint a tad bit of the weather, yet were so thrilled of the entire shoot! They even had their hands and feet dirty in order to get a nice shot… and the outcome? It was awesomely incredible!

During our shoot, they even introduced us to the local stall food which taste simply delicious. We had the famous ‘dani puri’ where you stuff some ingredients into the crackle and dip it into the soup, and then eat it right away. We learnt that it is one of the local’s favorite and it has since became our favorites too! Apart from that, we even tried our taste bud on the lime juice made by the locals. The lime juice is somewhat different from our local mamak ‘air limau’ as they put the ‘masala’ spice into the juice and make it thrist-quenching on a sunny day! And all of us had two glasses each! And the best part of it is that we could see Shah Rukh Khan residence from the dani puri and lime juice stalls!!! It was just a minute stroll away and we even snapped a photo in front of the gate! Luckily the security guard did not chase us off. lol…  Before we wrapped up the shoot, mel managed to get one of the rickshaw drivers to spare us the ‘classic’ rickshaw for our shoot, more-so-over we have been dying to use it in our shoot as it is the classic icon of mumbai… Well, that was the end of our day-one pre-wed shoot.

After a good rest, we continued our day-two pre-wed shoot at the sanjay gandhi national park. Mel suggested that it would be a really nice place to shoot as contrast to the busy city, whereby it is more natural and it has a waterfall deep inside the forest! Mel knew it so well ‘coz she had spent a good few years in mumbai during her childhood years and she has had fond memories of the national park. True enough, when we got there, we could see what she meant with the nature jungle-ly look and feel as we had to drive a good 15 minutes ride into the jungle-ly park in order to reach the waterfall spot. Unfortunately the waterfall has dried out due to the hot weather, (as it has not been raining since september, we heard..) but we are still lucky to have the ancient caves!!! Yeap, the caves are still in good condition and it was uber-cool to have our shoot there. And the caves are one of the ‘incredible india’ visiting spots as we could see tourists and locals walk and climb their way up to the caves, like we did! It was simply amazing though we had no idea of the historical past of these caves… Well, during our shoot, the locals kept stopping-by to watch and kept thinking we were from international broadcast station! Haha… you will see why i said so in the picture later.

With pauline and sasi’s love journey in this post, this video concept is brainstormed together during the meet up. it was also during then we found out that sasi is our national team hockey player and has been playing for the country for years; and pauline herself is a teacher in the special kids school. thus, their differences in interests and hobbies has proposed the inspiration and idea to cover the interview of them with some prenuptial shoots to bring out their interesting journey.

it has been 4 months (since june, to be specific) since we started our signature concept — unfold your love story — whereby love story is conceptualize through interview and some prenuptial snapshots.

the reason being — it is more than a wedding journey and every couple has a unique and distinct love story. this is why we want all couples to share their love story and journey with their family and friends through this concept. of course, it does not stop here. this has further enables us to know and understand our clients in depth, allowing us to create a “story of them” and for couples to get down and have their hands dirty in creating their very own video, for it is their participation that maketh our best videos.

during pauline and sasi’s prenup shoot, it was also the first time we got to watch a real hockey match and experience the sight of remote-plane flying (although there was a minor accident of the plane during the shoot, but sasi managed to pull it off with the minor damage and kept the plane flying still!!!), and the best part is to get to meet the hearing-disability children at pauline’s school. if not for them, we would not have experienced so much in such a short time. And pauline, thanks for your flash-cards idea, it was brilliant and it makes the best ending.

2 different people living in 2 different lives, finally got together as ONE.

BUT it is the journey of 2 becomes 1 from this day forward…
