Siva and gaya got wedded at the most unusual time, which is wee hour in the morning, but according to them, wee hour is the best hour to get married. Yeah, despite the wee hour, everyone seemed thrill and excited and there was not a single moment of sleepiness. It was our twice wee hour wedding, yet it was not any simpler as we had to manage our sleeping time, ie. force our body to knock-off at early evening just so we could wake up as the clock hit midnight! (ahem…it’s no joke coz we had trouble getting to bed that early and ended up did not get to shut eyes. To those shooting a wee hour wedding next time, a good advice is to have a full glass of wine before you head off to bed.. we regret didn’t do so ) But luckily as soon as we got to Siva’s residence, we were surprised to see him sitting outside chatting with his brother and friends; and he greeted us with his most charming smile. The best part was his whole family was nice, and it sort of brighten our wee morning shoot. After about half an hour at siva’s, we went on to gaya’s. Looking bubbly and happy, she is really a simple girl, just like the girl next door. The first time we met, she told us that she had been checking out our site and we were speechless to meet another fan of ours.
After having watched prashi and anu’s ’sweetie & cutie’ love story, many of you may be eager to see their wedding highlights. Here goes:-
Prashi and anu got wedded back in January in Melbourne, with the presence of their relatives and friends who came from near and far to celebrate their big day. Despite they have lived in aussie for over 20 years, they do not forget the traditions and customs, for they still practice their tradition wedding rituals. Their parents had even special order a mandap from india just for their wedding use, just to name a few here. To simplify their wedding: One young loving and happy couple, wonderful family, spontaneous and hospitable hearts, great wedding; simply a nice wedding with lots of love from friends and families. Throughout our week long stay in doncaster, you and your family have been tremendously nice and hospitable to us.
Without much ado, here is their wedding highlights… enjoy it!
Nithin + Arti’s wedding was the wrap for our year 2009, and it certainly was a great wedding as we had great time covering their wedding ceremonies at Pulai Springs Resort whilst enjoying our stay there. This newly wed, based in San Francisco, had their closest friends and relatives flew in from all over to attend their wedding in Pulai Springs, and yet this couple is not even from Malaysia! Yeap, it was a destination wedding.
Arti had arranged that we could all stay in the same resort as them as this would save the traveling time and for the convenience of us to cover the preparations and ceremonies. Well, it was really cool having to just walk a few minutes to both Nithin’s and Arti’s room, their parents’ suite and we could easily head back and forth to theirs without much hassle, and even the ceremonies were held in the resort! lol.. this is the coolest part of any destination wedding! They had a total of 3 events, from sangeet to wedding to reception. That was the first time we experienced a sangeet that’s full of love and even Nithin had a special surprise for Arti, which was to sing her favorite hindi song though he is not familiar with the language. His performance did not stop just there, he had even performed 2 more songs for his dear arti. The entire night was filled with love and laughter as their close friends from san francisco and singapore gave some very touching speeches, with nithin’s uncle ended the speech by singing his self-composed song about nithin and arti!
Well, their wedding certainly was not just a normal wedding rituals, it was more like a party and a get-together with their close friends and relatives from all over. Well, they had the most simplest wedding ceremony of all, yet ensuring that all the important rituals are done appropriately, with a touch a ‘beach-wedding’ decor! Of course, nithin was dancing his way to the wedding hall along-side with all his relatives. It was truly the cooolest wedding, and at the end of the day, everyone get carried away and some started to ‘throw’ the guys into the swimming pool! Finally, after all the celebrations, this cool couple were so nice to invite their friends and relatives to join their honeymoon trip to bali. Reason being they just want everyone to join in and have fun, as they will have plenty of time for private honeymoon after the wedding. I mean “wow” they’d rather forgo their honeymoon just so everyone could have fun with them.
Presenting to you now, arti + nithin’s wedding highlights…
(to arti + nithin, thanks guys for having us there to be part of your big celebration, truly honored to be there.. =) )
Hi all, a Happy New Year to you, wishing you a great 2010, fill with laughters, happiness, good health and all the luck in the world! =D
It has been a tremendous great 2009 for the doodle team and we would like to thank everyone of you who have been supporting us from in and out. And to our clients out there, thank you a million for the friendship and hospitality from prenup to post-nup; you guys are simply the best. We have been fortunate to have built many friendships along the way; meeting the happy and nice couples, the cute couples, the witty and funny couples and so on; and having met some of the nicest people in the wedding industry. You guys really rock our world. Yep, all of you (clients, fellow industry mates and friends) rock the doodle’s world! That is why this post is specifically dedicated to you as a symbol of gratitude and appreciation.
Once again, there are no words to describe our feelings, but a big THANK YOU! We are who we are because of your continuous supports, and our passion in weddings; for every couple has their own love story and every wedding starts from the small little details.
Umaparan + puva had expressed their love on the love story video that we did for earlier couples; and they just love the way we filmed and story-telled it, and wanted us to cover their love story in the unusual way that is, based on their proposal story. It had not struck us that puva is one of our no.1 fans as she told that she kept checking on our videos from our website. We felt blessed to have another new-found friendship. They treated us as though we are long time friends and not as vendor; and the bond between us was immediately developed on the first meet up. During the discussion, puva kept sharing their love story with us, but paran kept quiet most of the times and we thought he was uncool with the idea. But in fact he has already started brainstorming for the shooting! They mentioned they wanted to film the process of their proposal and how paran actually planned and prepared for the day to pop the question. And they came up with the idea to film it from ring purchasing at DeGem to proposing on the ship. This is awesome and thanks to their planning and arrangement with all involved parties, we managed to film it openly with permission at DeGem outlet, Lasposa and Palace of the Golden Horses.
On the shooting day, they had even arranged and booked a fine-dine boat from the Palace of the Golden Horses (which was where the proposal took place last year) in order to relive the proposal moment. And for all we know, booking the boat is not cheap, it cost them five hundred bucks for the fine-cuisine on the boat for an hour. Well, we could tell it meant alot to them to re-shoot the big day there and we had suggested paran to get her a surprise present; to really surprise her. We did not see this coming, but turned out that paran bought the similar first present that he’d gifted her which she accidentally lost it during their dating years, and it definitely shocked her! Well, puva is definitely de GEM and princess in paran’s heart for he gave her the dream ROM at KL Tower, dream reception at Palace of the Golden Horses and dream lazare D! He really nailed it and he even set the bar high for the guys out there now… *wink* LOL.
They had their wedding ceremony back in the hometown of paran, which is seremban. They had invited the best priest in malaysia and had the event held at a golf club, with lots of blessings from family and friends.
It is the wedding season now and our schedule is crazily packed up with weddings and production work. And things were not any different on the wedding week of kumaran and sri. We got there at sri’s house as early as half past five; and it was crazy as we only had 2.5 hours of nap due to the hectic wedding week. We thought we were the only ones with the least sleep time, but boy we were wrong when we learnt that sri and her family had not slept for the entire night and had been running around in wee hour in order to look for her engagement blouse. But with god’s blessing they finally found it in one of the closet drawer; and it was actually there the entire time and sri told that somehow it must be their tired eyes that had fooled them and had them overlooked it. Pity sri coz she had to drink loads of coffee in order to stay awake till evening! Yep, that’s a tough one.
Thanks to Jay of Jay’s Perfect Dreams for having their wedding hall nicely decorated with superb on-stage lighting! This is the first time a couple has used so many different lighting to lighten the entire wedding stage, dimming down the rest just to create a warm ambience for their stage ceremony. Well, the output was marvelous on the video as the groom and bride could stand out even more in the video without having us using additional lightings!! So far they had the best lighting i must say.
We wish sri and kumaran a happy married life and all the best!
We first met anil and hema about few months back for discussion on their wedding video; it was then we learnt that they are nice couple and liked our style, and had booked us on the spot.
On their wedding day, they had their wedding ceremony live feed to outdoor area, for the convenience of the relatives and friends who were sitting outdoor. She is the ‘in’ bride that we have had so far with blonde hair, and he is the handsome-looking groom, and this makes them a perfect match for one another.
Here you are, their sde video which was premiered on their reception in Holiday Villa Subang. Wishing them a happy married life!!
We have had the wittiest groom in the last post, now we have our next funny yet shy groom, Kristofer. Kris is a phillipino who grew up in malaysia. And melinda is like a career woman who is capable of handling all the wedding planning for their wedding. This couple has nothing less than any ordinary couple, just that they have an extra bit of cuteness in them that would steal the limelight of others. When we were with them, they had this fantastic ’special’ bond and we could just sit and watch them have their conversations. lol. If one’d been with them, you’d know how cute they’d get! =D
During the prep in shangri-la’s hotel, kristofer was shy to let us shoot him when he has no t-shirt on! Yup, he is this shy… and we think he definitely is a keeper. He showed us all the Gucci presents that melinda had gifted him through out their dating years, and said that he’d been keeping them for their ‘big day’ coz very ’sayang’ to use it. How thoughtful of him. Since he is a phillipino, him and his bestmen had put on their tradition clothes, which is called the ‘barong’ instead of tux!! On top of that, kris and mel had both prepared a present for each other, as according to kris, it is the phillipine-chinese tradition. Guess what, they both got each other a Bvlgari watch!
Melinda is every guy’s girl and she is definitely kris’ dream girl. Well, kris fell in love with melinda at first sight and waited till the day she gave him her phone number. She is down-to-earth despite her status, humble and nice girl who is just the prefect one for kris.
This video credit should go out to kris who suggested that they would read out their message to one another and the outcome is amazing… good job guys! ;)
It has been years since we last set foot in genting themepark, and this time we ain’t there for all the fun rides, but to film sri and kumaran’s pre-wedding love journey. Sri loves the themepark rides; and suggested that we should take a drive up to genting when we proposed to have the shooting at funfair-like location. Reason being kumaran is an absolute funny guy who literally cracks about anything on earth; hence the chemistry of them together at the themepark would work perfectly fine. They have such funny yet loving chemistry that it was hard not to note it here. Kumaran is the wittiest guy that we’ve ever met thus far, it is hard not to laugh when we’re around them. The few meetings with them prior to the shooting was hilarious to see them being themselves and most of the times they were bullying one another despite our presence there.
This is our first shooting in genting and probably the most unforgettable experience. The whole shooting was awesome, minus the fact that we did not expect the weather to be uber cold and misty, and that it was already school holidays and we had to queue for every ride. It was so cold that sri and myself could not stand the weather the minute we’re out of the building! Luckily sri had her hat and gloves for the extra protection. Yet the cold had not affect kumaran; he was still very energetic and hilarious through out the shoot and kept having all the funny ideas for video purpose! The funny part was we all thought he looked like the energiser battery-man and had him posed next to it.
Here you are, presenting to you the funny-loving couple, sri + kumaran’s love journey video…
We got to know kevin and valen’s love story when they had an ‘unfold their story’ session with us when kevin was back from the States for a short break. It is funny how we got to unfold more of their childhood love secrets when they started their story way back into primary school. This newly-weds have known each other since primary school (and that is almost 2 decades!) but they only started as lover about 2 years back. He used to bully and nicknamed her “ah zhu” from day one that they met each other and the funny part was it did not make her hate him more, but it made her fell in love with him even more! Well, guess this is how the reverse psychology works on them.
They have such a touched love story that melted my heart as i was interviewing them and i thought to myself that it is really fated that they were to be parted (as friend) for so long only to realize later in their lives that he (she) is her (his) destiny. An amazing couple, a touching love story, and a crazy gate-crashing.
Boy, their gate-crash was the craziest as the sisters had put aside their sympathy and decided to go full force into torturing the brothers. It was a ruthless war between the two parties; but in the end it was more about enjoying the gate-crash moment and helping kevin to get to his bride.
Here is their wedding sde video which was premiered at Sunway Resort Hotel. Enjoy it!
The past weekend has been hectic for us as we had 3 weddings back-to-back! Kannan and hema had their temple wedding back in their hometown, seremban. We actually drove down to seremban in the wee hour, and got there as early as 4.30am. It’s funny that we have not met up with hema and kannan before, and not even when they signed up with us about half a year back coz all was done via email. It was only 2 weeks prior to their wedding that we met up with them. It was actually Jay, their wedding planner and decorator (from Jay’s Perfect Dreams) who reminded that they should set a meet us in person before their wedding. Kannan and hema has left a good impression on us; they are both a nice person, sweet and cute girl, a shy guy just like the boy next door, a bride with a unique-liking for sarees and a lovely 9 years couple!
Smile… is the word to describe our dear couple bala and sherly. This is one of the reason we have selected this song for their wedding sde as it suits them totally! Bala and sherly tied the knot on Nov 22nd and that was a fine and refreshing morning to cover their wedding in subang usj. Our morning was filled with warm welcome by sherly and her family when we were to cover the prep. The time spent at bride’s residence was thus far the shortest in our record, yet the coverage was not any lesser as compared to the rest, in fact it was rather efficient. And the amazing part was everyone ignored us doing our thing; and they were all so natural with us there. They did not disturb, and in fact they were just silently watching from side on how we do things. And during the wedding procession, bala and sherly was in total smiley face that was like a contagious infection that could make people smile along. Even as we were editing the sde, his infection smile has had us dedicating this song to them both as we felt the song suits them best.
Their wedding went so well that we feel the credit should go out to bala, sherly, their family members and relatives for being so so cooperative and understanding through out the wedding procession. It was rather unbelievable; when bala said we had the full authority to ’shoo’ anyone who gets in our way during the shooting, and we thought it might be rude if we constantly keep shoo-ing people. When one of the uncles was blocking during the procession, jared politely asked him to step aside, the uncle turned around and gave us a shocking warm reply ” yes yes … please please ” with a warm smile. And another time when few relatives were blocking when they were giving blessing to the newly-wed, bala’s sister noticed that and she immediately asked them to step aside, so as not to block the video! And it is a “wow” thing for us, coz it is as though they realized the importance of the wedding video to bala and sherly, to not want to disrupt the photographer and videographers’ work.
Thank you guys to have us there and it was nice working with you! Cheers… Here is their SDE video. Enjoy! =)
This time around we are using a different approach for Cheang and Elaine sde video as they wanted the sde to be somewhat slow-mo. Hence we have specially selected this song to suit the feel. Well, we managed to pull off a good one for them.
Elaine has such adorable puppy who just can’t seem to be parted from her. He would always guard for elaine when people start to walk into the room, and he would bark at the people, but elaine then jokingly said “well what can you do my dear, you can only bark at them, coz you can’t bite…” Lol. I specifically remembered this scene coz i found it funny. Oh well, you’d see how adorable her dog was when elaine was in the preparation process. It was not a hectic day for elaine, and neither was it hectic for cheang. Cheang even had a time to brunch with his family and best-men before they proceed to the church.
Without much ado, let’s enjoy their sde video that was premiered at Gardens Hotel ballroom. =)
The first meeting we had with this lovely couple of 8 years, puva and paran, we knew that they wanted things to be special for their wedding, from wedding venues to video-style. Puva is paran’s angel, whom he fell in love at first sight. To him, she is forever the angel-ly looking princess and she deserves the best in the world! Needless to say, he gives her a dream wedding ROM at the KL Tower, and her dream wedding at Palace of the Golden Horses (which is near the corner)!
Though it was raining heavily in the afternoon, luckily it stopped pouring in the evening, just in time for their rom celebration. Puva looked simply dashing-amazing in the purplish dress, the simple make-up and the hair-do, made her look even more like an angel!! Nevermind that the rain has flooded the roof-top where they initially intended to have the rom, the ballroom was simply nicely set-up, with its 360degree view of the kl night-scene!! Lucky for us, as we could still manage to have a few shots up at the roof-top later in the night. Well, it was a day worth a say and to remember-by. It was also a great honour to be there on the kl tower to film their ROM; yet another new experience! Thanks guys for having us there …and congrats on your engagement. =)
Paran and Puva had their wedding ROM at the tallest tower – KL Tower — in Malaysia over the last weekend. Here are a snippet of their event. Stay put for their wedding rom highlight soon.
It is always exciting to shoot in a new town, especially in a town full of historical background; a new couple, this couple is the descendants of the peranakan in malacca; and a new experience, a truly ‘Peranakan’ (also known as baba-nyonya) custom of wedding. This time around, we are shooting in all 3 new factors and to be honest, it is our first truly peranakan wedding experience and we had no clue of how we ought to go about shooting the entire procession.
They had their relatives and friends to help them out with the wedding customs, and it is a wonder that Peranakan wedding has not lost its awe until today. The traditional peranakan wedding has rituals from day 1 till day 12, but this time our couple had decided to do them all in a day, for the convenience of everyone. It is amazed that they have such rich culture and tradition. And for all we know, we thought hokkien is their mother tongue, but it turned out that it is a mixture of hokkien and malay, as they speak fluent malay! Not kidding here, ‘coz they even know quite a lot of malay pantun which we have not even heard before.
Cedric, is the man who made the entire event a good one as he knows every little detail of it. If it was not for him, the event would not be possible. It was a great experience and we were served the best baba-nyonya kuih in town, which we can’t get in kl. At the end of the day, it was really tiring but it was well worth the experience.
It was just about 3 weeks back that we were in mumbai to cover melanie and creswell’s wedding. And now as i am typing this post, all the mumbai experiences that we had with the newly-wed, their bridal family and friends flashed pass my mind. It was quite an unforgettable wedding.
I could still recall creswell’s answer to our question when we asked was there any specific reason that they want their wedding to be in St Francis Xavier Church at Vile Parle, he said it is because this is the same church where melanie’s grandparents and parents got married in and it is in the same town where she spent most of her early childhood years at. And we were not even surprised to learn that they had friends, family and relatives who flew all the way from dubai, chennai and goa to attend their big day in mumbai!
On the bollywood night, it was a real nice experience when we get to see most of melanie’s close friends prepared a good number of performances on stage to entertain the couple and guests. But the fun did not stop there, the fun was followed by the roce ceremony. To see how crazy was the fun, watch their video here.
And on the wedding reception at Hyatt Regency Hotel, the fun and joy was tripled of what we had on the first two days. Boy it was all about dancing and booze-ing, so much so that the dance floor was filled with people all the time. The Dj kept playing retro songs throughout the night as mel and creswell love retros. Hence, we chose a retro song for their wedding highlight video. Hey heys, retro songs rock! Reason being? The retros got the guests’ feet on the dance floor and what do you know, they are all fantastic rhythmic dancers, it felt almost like a high school prom night where their moves were in sync with the music!! The sight filled us with awe. We could just watch them dance whole night long.
They both have such kind and charitable hearts that they had an auction on the top layer of their wedding cake where the proceeds would be donated to the Mother Teresa’s Shishu Bhavan fund. Guess what? The highest bidder was Joanne from dubai and her bid was INR 50,000!! That is close to RM6,600. And the rest of the guests had also donated generously, and the total donation collected on that night was INR 1,17,450! It is the newest idea to have a charity auction on wedding cake on a wedding reception, and yet still be able to help the needy.
It is our great honor to be there to film their pre-weddings and wedding cerebrations, and we certainly gotta thank Rochelle (mel’s sister who has done so much for their wedding preparations and to have arranged everything for us), mel + creswell, the bridal party (chris’s brother jon, anthony, dominic, steve, rochelle, jennifer, rutania and michelle), the ‘little princess’ sadaf (who is so adorable!!), julie (the american photographer from dubai), ryan (the audio manager), joe (the emcee), the harding family, the rebello family, and all the friends and relatives of mel and creswell who have been so so so accommodating, welcoming, friendly, supportive, helpful and nice through out the 3-day wedding filming plus our entire stay in mumbai. It has been an incredible experience and we enjoyed every little bit of our stay there! And it is the most enjoyable wedding that we have covered thus far.
Thank you for having us there with you guys and look forward to seeing you soon in dubai.
As you would have probably read the earlier post of our dubai couple in mumbai, here are some of the behind the scenes and stills excerpt from the video.
This is sadaf, the adorable little princess!! We’re told that she’ll do anything for you as long as you call her ‘princess’. So, i had to call her princess in order to have this picture with her.
Simon – attended his cousin’s wedding on a one fine day
Leena – was always tagged along to jessica’s family outings, did the same on the same day, has followed jessica family to the wedding function [ahem..without proper "invitation" as quoted by simon ]
Simon + Leena – became friends some time thereafter…
Simon, who is a truly shy guy – was shy to declare his love to leena
Leena, who is a straight forward girl – made the initial move to declare her love to simon
Years have passed, finally had their wedding on the same day as simon’s birthday. It truly was a meaningful “ten-ten” wedding at the tropicana resort ballroom! Not only did they had their wedding car plated 1010, simon even sang a song to his beloved wife upon their entrance march-in during the reception night. Surprise surprise, none of us expected it as simon is rather a shy guy, but he sang really well and now we all know that he is a good singer.
Not only was their wedding an exciting one, but it was more like a friends gathering to us, as we got to meet and catch up with several of our clients, like jessica + suraj, kavi + santhra, and their family =) The feeling was so nice as though we knew everyone there and as if we are a part of them. Anyway, we really want to thank simon + leena for having us there to be part of the celebration and we would like to say we had real great time hanging out with you guys during the pre-wed shoot a couple of months back.
Here you are guys, hope you enjoy watching this highlight video ‘because you live’ to love one another… ;)
The hot and famous 8TV Quickie host, Belinda has finally tied the knot with her 9 years boyfriend Joe a couple of weeks ago and had their grand KL wedding reception at Shangri’s La Hotel KL. Their wedding reception was somewhat more like a celebrity gathering with all the famous celebs gathered together on this special occasion to celebrate Bel + Joe’s big day! And bel certainly looked stunning with her subtle gold cheongsam, along side with her prince charming, Joe. Both the newly-weds were seen happily mingling with their friends and relatives, and it was a night to remember for them.
It was our honor to film their wedding, and thank you guys for having us for both your kuching and kl wedding. The entire wedding journey was wonderful. Thank you guys and may you have a happy married life! =)
Before i wrap up here with their wedding highlight of both the kuching and kl wedding, allow me to say this:-
Joe | She is forever the “awesomeness” woman in his life …
Bel | He is the nicest man, the dream man in her life…
Both sasi and pauline are the teachers of god’s special children and they both have a tender loving heart for these special children. And the doodles team is honored to film their wedding and had the privilege to document their life styles when we covered their pre-wedding earlier ago.
Sasi and pauline had their garden wedding back in september in a cozy bungalow called hideway. It is a bungalow located out of the busy city and pauline had been planning for the decorations for months prior to their wedding day. She had spent so much time planning for her wedding and would not let a tiny detail slips through as she wanted their wedding to be as perfect as possible. True enough, their wedding day was filled with lots of fun and love was in the air for the newly-wed. Pauline’s dad had given the most touching yet funniest speech of all, and it almost brought tears to the newly-wed. And pauline had also performed a song (Stand by Me) to sasi where she delivered via sign language…and sasi were speechless but felt loved altogether…and kissed her when she finished singing. It is really sweet to see them both lovingly together.
Pauline + sasi, thank you for your time with us and your hospitable during our shoot. Best wishes from the doodles team… =)

It has been about 3 years plus since Jared and I left me!bourne after our degree graduation, and both of us just can’t wait to go back there and experience the me!bourne lifestyle that we both missed so much. Jared and I first met eyes in me!bourne during our RMiT university study years via malaysian student association club of RMiT, and the rest is history. Me!bourne is the city where we first met, where our love blossomed, where we shared our passion and love, where we enjoyed our companionship with one another, where we had our little weekend getaway together, where we spent most of our times with our Sefton-42 buddies and we literally experienced everything together. As the months draw nearer, all the fond memories of us in me!bourne keep flashing pass our mind, with all the images of me!bourne that we could still picture. The figure 3 years plus may not be long for most people, but the period is definitely a long one for us. Me!bourne is like a second home to us, and it just feel so great having to know that we will be flying back to our second home when our me!bourne couple booked us about 9 months back.
Yes! Jared and I will be flying back to me!bourne in january 2010 for a wedding assignment, and we will be staying there for a good 2 and a half weeks. Hence we would have plenty of time for some good me!bourne prenuptial video filming within the city (or even within victoria vicinity!!) for you me!bourne couples out there! Or if you are travelling to me!bourne during our stay there, and would love to have your prenuptial video film in an entire different feel, just give us a ring and come experience the doodles prenup in me!bourne !!
Looking back at the me!bourne pictures sure remind me of how plump and chubby i was... *blush*
Our Dubai couple, melanie + creswell (better known as chris) met in college during their uni years in dubai about 9 years back. It was since then their love blossomed like flower. And after 9 long years of relationship, they had decided to have their wedding day exactly on the same date that they started dating which was on 17th Oct 2000, and hence their wedding day 17th Oct 2009!
They both had a mutual agreement to have their church wedding celebration in mumbai, with a bollywood wedding night and roce wedding ceremony prior to their wedding day. And they flew in their friends, family and relatives from Dubai, Chennai, Goa and etc to attend their big days in mumbai!
Mel + Creswell had their Bollywood Night on 15th Oct 09. It is one of the pre-wedding ceremonies that are practiced by the northern indians, and it was also their day-one of pre-wedding party! The entire theme is bollywood night party and everyone was dressed in bollywood attire. Boy, not only was it meant dancing night for them, it was also meant liquor night for all! They had all the liquors and beers ready at the cocktail counter where liquor is free flow… And mel’s bridemaids and friends had prepared many dance performances on stage for their entertainment and we could tell they really choreographed for this night. Until the end of the night, the guests had even pulled us in to join their floor dance!
On the day prior to their wedding day, they had the ROCE ceremony, it was where mel got the blessing from her relatives and friends. This is somewhat different from the southern indians as they (the northern indians) give their blessings to mel by pouring (plus showering) her with coconut milk and eggs! She was not alone, as her bridemaids were there to back her up as well! The fun then get dirtier when it was her friends turn to give their blessings. Mel and the bridemaids were showered with 2 packets full of coconut milk by their close friends!! Pity her and the bridemaids…
Finally, thanks again to mel + creswell to share your love journey with us and here is the premiere of their love story featured on their wedding reception at Hyatt Regency Hotel on Oct 17th…
(Do upload it fully for better viewing… enjoy the video and stay tuned for mel + creswell wedding highlights soon!)
