Jai and Ashley is one of the most loving couples that is rare to find on the street. They are like soul mates that are passionately bonded and glued to one another, their eyes would always lock to each other’s, always intensely romantically in love with each other like there’s no tomorrows. It is no surprise to find that everyone loves being around with this newly-wed, and it is hard not to fall in love with Jai as she is such a wonderful-sporting girl, with a caring and kind heart, plus an infectious and warm smile that could easily melt one’s heart. No wonder Ashley would go all the way and give all out for her, ‘coz she is definitely a keeper!!

Their wedding in Blackpool Pleasure Beach was a blast and it rocked the entertainment city for a while last week. There were so many surprises arranged for the guests, and for both Jai and Ashley, who had no idea of the surprises that he/she has in plan for the other half!! First, the couple has engaged the UK TV game show host Roy Walker (from the ‘Catch Phrase’ tv game show) to be the emcee of the night, 2 magicians to entertain guests with some amazing magic tricks, and some Blackpool showgirls for the guests photo-taking session. Just when we thought the surprises were good enough for the night, there were more to come. J+A has brought in the best bhangra group to perform few dances on stage, and they were hard-rockingly terrific with their moves!! Well, that was not it. They had the famous band B21 to perform a live sing to the guests towards the end of the night. The band has turned the heat up and everyone sang and danced along to their music!!

Despite the surprises that they had in store for the guests, both jai and ashley has a special surprise for each other. For all the things that Ash has done for Jai, and for the effort of courting a blackpool girl, and knowing that ash is a red-devil fan, she has pre-custom made a Blackpool tangerine jersey with ash’s name on it, and presented to him on-stage… and her exact words were “well, you have courted a Blackpool girl, you might as well go all the way and support the team!!” lol… i must say, jai has never failed to enchant ashley with her sporty charisma.

Well, the night did not end just there. Ashley had a surprise waiting for Jai to unleash… but the rules are Jai had to play and get the answers right for the CatchPhrase game in order to get the clues for their honeymoon location. Well, that was not tough at all for our brilliant Jai, she got the location right at her third box selection (3rd clue) out of the nine boxes given!! What can we say, it was a night full of surprises for the couple and the guests… and for us too. Little did we expect that Jai had actually prepared a big bouquet of flower each for us, Cory (photographer) and Jarret and Candice (MarryMe wedding planner from mumbai). We’re stoned when Jai called out our names and handed us the flowers on-stage. Jai+Ashley, thank you so much for the lovely flowers and we felt honored for your kind appreciation, we’re glad to have you guys as friends and we had fun at your wedding. :D

Daniel + Kammy | Bintulu Wedding Highlight

Wednesday, July 21 2010   Posted by Emmaline

It was just last month we were in Beijing to film their love story, and spent an amazing week long with our cute and lovely couple, Daniel and Kammy; and they had their wedding ceremony back in their hometown Bintulu over the last weekend. Daniel and Kammy has known each other since primary school years, they both live in the same neighborhood in Bintulu, never bumped into each other after primary years despite staying so near, and only to find each other again in friendster when they are both in different part of the world. Little did they know that their friendship would spark into another stage via online texting from west and east part of the world.

Their wedding in bintulu was warm and entertaining, as half of the bintulu people were invited to their wedding celebration, and to top it up, bintulu people are genuinely nice. It was yet another heartfelt entertained wedding, with William Lee being the emcee for the whole day has got the ground laughing away! Of course, the focus was not on William, in fact it was the newly-wed who was the center of attention. Daniel who is soft spoken, humble and a “yes” man; is the opposite of Kammy who is determined, hyper and an iron girl. Both of them make a lovely couple, as you could see them teasing each other this minute, but turns to be a loving couple the next minute. It is this magical chemistry that keeps their sparks and make them an unique couple!

Omesh + Preeti | Sindhi Destination Wedding | Kuala Lumpur

Wednesday, July 07 2010   Posted by Emmaline

It is our first sindhi wedding, yet a destination sindhi wedding in Kuala Lumpur, where Omesh is from NewYork and Preeti is from Philippines. Both groom and bride family, relatives and friends flew in from near and far (and none of them is from malaysia) to join their 3 days wedding celebration in JW Marriot and Westin KL. It was interesting when we first introduced to Preeti and her family by Poonam (the wedding planner), we had a deep first impression on uncle Charlie (preeti’s dad) coz he is such a funny, joyous and loving husband and father, the first meeting was nothing formal or unease, was more like friends get-together.

It is always interesting to shoot a different indian wedding coz the culture is always different from one another, and we get to see and experience more of other cultures. There were several prayer sessions plus solemnization that has to be done prior to wedding day for sindhi wedding, and one of the essential parts was when omesh’s shirt (that he was wearing) has to be torn by his brother and friends, right after the prayer ceremony has ended. The interesting part was omesh was aware of this custom, and was all prepared for it, coz he wore 3 underwears beneath his pants!

Like any other indian weddings, they too have a sangeet ceremony 2 days prior to wedding, where preeti’s friends from philippines teamed and paired up to perform for the lovely couple. Omesh’s cute little nephew had also made the effort to perform a dance and the kiddo did rock the ground a bit. But the best performance was none other than preeti’s solo dance for her dearest. The sangeet and wedding ballrooms were nicely decorated with an arabic and royal affair theme by Sriiya and Ramesh, creating the mood and ambience for the couple and their 100 guests! It was a great opportunity to work with poonam, ramesh, sriiya and grant corban in this wedding.

Without further ado, presenting to you Omesh+Preeti Sindhi Wedding Highlight… Enjoy!!

Kammy + Daniel | Beijing Shortfilm: You have 1 Message…

Thursday, July 01 2010   Posted by Emmaline

Beijing has “wow” us upon our arrival. One of the cities that has developed so fast; with convenient public transport from buses to train systems; friendly and nice people, even the taxi drivers are polite and kind-hearted; clean and developed city with many high rise “archi-structure” buildings; wide highways with plenty lanes, had us almost jaw dropped. We have seen so much of Beijing during our stay, it’s as though we have lived there for a month!

Our stay has been pleasant and fun, thanks to our couple kammy and daniel for their finest arrangement, from food wise to lodging to transportation, all has been carefully planned and taken care of. For the first day, kammy brought us around literally to most of the amazing nice places in Beijing for a quick recce of the locations, then only moved on with the shoots for the next 3 days! With kammy and daniel around, it felt like friends hanging out talking, eating, and chatting. So we had full 2 days of shoots going on, travelling from one place to another, covering basically the entire Beijing city in less than a week! No doubt filming in beijing is nice, but it was rather hard to film at most locations as the security is pretty tight at all times. Luckily the security guards did not give us hard time and allowed us to finish our shoots!

In a nutshell, it was nice to be in Beijing and was nice shooting our loving and charming couple, Kammy and Daniel. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their accommodative, hospitability and friendship. Stay tune for their wedding on July 17th in Bintulu, meanwhile do enjoy their love story shortfilm shot entirely in Beijing.

When we first walked into Candies Cafe, it got us ‘wow’ and stoned for a minute, and it had us fell in love with Candies on that very moment! It gives the feeling that Candies has evolved from a small place in Bandra West to a nice French cafe. It is the coziest place to hang out in Bandra and there is nothing not to like about Candies. It has over 200 varieties of food and beverages from western, eastern to local tastes, the place is so huge that it is like a maze with several sections — ground floor with fully air-conditioned; second floor onwards are fully open-air with the roof top being the garden cafe concept, it has become one of the most hang out place for bollywood stars and do not be surprised if you happen to bump into any of them at Candies! Well, in fact, we bumped into Javed Jaffrey when we were there. ;) Do check out Javed in Candies video below that we’re about to present to you.. Enjoy!!
